These are just some of the questions that are answered in Souq Waqif, an exploration of Middle Eastern culture via a visual journey of Doha’s oldest souq. Souq Waqif is the original retail heart of the Qatari capital and, through chapters called Culture, Home, Work, Wear, Fly, Eat, Taste and Sleep, this book meets the shopkeepers and examines the produce of a traditional Middle Eastern market.
